Diocese of Oklahoma names three nominees for bishop

first_img Director of Music Morristown, NJ Priest-in-Charge Lebanon, OH An Evening with Presiding Bishop Curry and Iconographer Kelly Latimore Episcopal Migration Ministries via Zoom June 23 @ 6 p.m. ET [Diocese of Oklahoma] The Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma is excited to announce the nominees for the sixth bishop of the Diocese of Oklahoma. Following a yearlong search and discernment process, the Search Committee announces that the nominees are the Rev. Scott Gunn, the Rev. Greg Methvin and the Rev. Poulson C. Reed.Gunn is currently the executive director of Forward Movement, based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Methvin is currently the rector of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Frisco, Texas. And the Reed is currently the rector of All Saints’ Episcopal Church and Day School in Phoenix, Arizona.The candidates will participate in “walkabouts” Dec 6-8 to engage with diocesan clergy and community members. The election will take place on Dec. 14 at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Oklahoma City, and the bishop consecration will follow on April 18.The Rt. Rev. Edward J. Konieczny, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma, announced in November his intention to retire on January 1, 2021. first_imgNewsCrime & CourtArrests made and drugs with estimated street value of €320,000 seized in LimerickBy Staff Reporter – March 2, 2019 1465 Gardaí from the Limerick Divisional Drug Unit, Mayorstone Crime Unit and the Garda Armed Support Unit have seized drugs with an estimated street value of €320,000 Print On Friday 1st March 2019, searches were carried out at locations in the Moyross, Coonagh Lower and Castletroy areas of Limerick. During the course of these searches Cannabis Herb and Cocaine (subject to analysis) was seized with an estimated street value of €320,000. An 18-year-old man arrested as part of this investigation has been released from Garda custody and is expected to appear before a sitting of Limerick District Court later this month charged in connection with the case.Gardaí have arrested a third person in relation to this investigation. The 30 year old man was arrested this morning, March 2, 2019, in the Limerick area. He is detained at Henry St Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2- (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.Investigating Gardaí are continuing to detain a man (30) and woman (47) at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.The investigation is ongoing and further updates will follow.
