Two accused in marijuana grow operation in Boyd County

BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two people were arrested this week in Boyd County for having a marijuana grow operation in their home, according to investigators.Ashland Police say, while on patrol, officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from a home on Ashland Avenue. After getting a search warrant, officers went back to the home where they say they found 22 marijuana plants and three pounds of marijuana. They say the total value was around $90,000. Officers say they also found LSD in the home.- Advertisement – Police say 33-year-old Derrick Carper and 29-year-old Hilary Carper were arrested at the home. They are charged with cultivating marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
